It is such a blessing to return to St. Anastasia Catholic School in the new role of Fourth Grade teacher. In recent years I have worked as a substitute teacher in every grade from Kinder through 8th, both at St. A's and neighboring schools. I also have experience working with high school age students through our Confirmation program. During my years as a St. A's parent, I volunteered in many areas including 13 years as a docent in our Gateway to Art program. I feel as if I have come full circle. My previous years full time teaching was with 4th and 5th graders in public and parochial schools. The Social Studies curriculum in these grades is a favorite of mine as I lead students' exploration and discovery of our nation in its early years.
I stepped away from teaching to raise my 3 children who are now all St. Anastasia graduates. My two oldest are in college and the youngest is a high school sophomore. My family became active St. Anastasia parishioners in 2001. We have volunteered in many areas of parish life. We feel at home in this dynamic Catholic community. I look forward to a wonderful year with your children as we discover, learn and grow. Go Panthers!
