AM Summer School Program
Week 1-3: June 20th - July 8th
GRADES: Kinder - 6th 
Time: 8:30am-11:30am
Cost: $450 (Includes $25 non-refundable registration fee)
Morning and After Care offered by ADESTE.  You MUST download, print and complete the ADESTE form for Morning or After Care.
 
Kinder / 1st - Mrs. Tracy Mayhue
We will offer a program to include literacy, comprehension, numeracy skills, creating narratives, developing listening skills, and STEM. Students will also work to develop their fine and gross motor skills.

2nd / 3rd - Ms. Lisa Scaltrito & Mrs. Maria Charles
The Reading Curriculum for second/third grade summer school will involve recognizing parts of speech, proper punctuation, reading, and spelling, as well as more advanced language arts skills.The second/third grade summer math curriculum will include place value, mental math, calculating with monetary values, addition and subtraction, geometry and graphs, and frequent review of single digit addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

4th / 5th - Mrs. Jennifer Stamatio
The 4/5 summer school class will split the day between reading/language arts and math.  The reading/language arts curriculum will consist of a novel study (Love That Dog by Sharon Creech) and poetry analysis that focuses on theme, characterization, and making inferences as well as informational and creative writing.  The math will target specific needs exhibited by the students according to their STAR assessment data.  Both math and language arts will include differentiation and small group instruction to meet the individual needs of the students in the class.
All students are asked to have a copy of the novel Love That Dog by Sharon Creech on the first day of class.

6th - Mr. Elijah Ziomek & Mr. David Han
The 6th grade summer school class will focus on ELA reading & writing (Ziomek) and Math (Han), and a preview of middle school.  Our Summer School Program will use Renaissance Learning Data from this year's STAR Math and Reading assessments to identify the strengths and weaknesses of our enrolled students.  Students will also work on their summer reading assignments, improve their writing skills and keep their math skills sharp.

Limited Spaces, spots on a first come first serve basis.  ADESTE will offer a curriculum which includes physical fitness, arts & crafts, cooking, science, games, special events, and weekly field trips (full day only) in an educational, fun-filled environment.
