Lucinda Zimmermann serves as the Learning Specialist at St. Anastasia. She has experience working in elementary through university settings.  Mrs. Zimmermann maintains her teaching credential in Virginia with endorsements in Specific Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, and Behavior Disorders (K-12). Her professional areas of interest are reading, writing, and executive function. She has received extensive training in both a Balanced Literacy and Structured Literacy approaches to teaching reading. She is an Associate Ed. Therapist and working on her Professional Educational Therapist status (anticipated 2020-2021). In addition, she is working on her practicum to qualify as a Dyslexia Interventionist through the International Dyslexia Association.

 

In her free time, Mrs. Zimmermann enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons. She enjoys reading, traveling to new places … and eating great food. Also, she volunteers as a Master Gardener through the University of California Cooperative Extension. You might spot her at area farmers’ markets advising marketgoers on growing fruits and vegetables at home.

Miss Woodley  teaches Religion to fifth and sixth graders, Bible Study and art to seventh and eighth graders. She has been in the teaching profession for 44 years and is happy to be beginning her 24th year at St. Anastasia. She has a love of language and social studies, but considers the give and take with the students as her main joy in the classroom, no matter what the subject at hand is. As a guiding principle,she maintains that if something is worth doing...do it well the first time!
 
Miss Woodley will also offer instructional support to the primary grade teachers as needed.
