Mrs. Susie Soriano has been in education for over 28 years, eighteen of which have been in Catholic education. She has been fortunate to experience teaching in a variety of schools and grade levels. She was also involved with different administrative duties in those schools. She believes it is a blessing that gives her a different perspective on things and helps her grow as an educator. She is excited to start the school year at St Anastasia as the 5th grade homeroom teacher!
Mrs. Soriano graduated from the University of the Philippines with a bachelors degree in Family Life and Child Development and from Loyola Marymount University with a masters degree in Catholic School Administration. She has teaching credentials from the Philippines, Pennsylvania and Texas, as well as an ESL certification from Texas. Her desire to teach came from her own struggles in school. It is her hope to provide a safe, nurturing yet challenging environment in which students want to learn.
Mrs. Soriano and her husband are parishioners. They have 3 children--a college graduate, a 10th grader and a St Anastasia 6th grader. Mrs. Soriano stays very busy with the various activities between work, family and the Church.
