St. Margaret Center's Thanksgiving Food Collection

St. Margaret's Center is a program of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles Inc., it has served low-income and homeless families since 1987. The Center provides a comprehensive range of emergency and supportive services to about 10,000 unduplicated individuals annually in the Los Angeles "L.A.X." area, primarily those living in the cities or streets of Lennox and surrounding communities.

Throughout the year St Margaret’s Center provides a food pantry for many struggling families in the area.  Strictly from donations, they provide fruits, vegetables, dry goods and meats weekly to area families that are in need.  For Thanksgiving they hope to put together a holiday meal package for these families.  Our Parish has always been a big supporter of their work and we have the opportunity to once again help in their efforts.  The children can bring in non- perishable canned/ dry items but most needed are frozen turkeys or market gift cards.  There will be collection boxes have been placed in the classrooms this week. Please send frozen turkeys in on Friday, November 16.  The seventh grade class will deliver the food after the school Mass on November 16.
