Grounded in our Catholic tradition, Saint Anastasia Catholic School has been helping shape young lives in the Westchester/Playa del Rey community for more than fifty years. This neighborhood school offers an excellent Junior Kindergarten – 8th grade academic and spiritual program enhanced by a wide variety of extra curricular offerings that support the spiritual, physical, and creative growth of each child.
Our highly experienced faculty and staff put students first and promote life long learning through their example. We integrate technology through a one-to-one device program in grades 5 through 8, and with a technology cart to serve students in the younger grades. Each classroom has smart boards and wireless connections are accessible throughout the campus. Students in the junior high have increased instructional time in science where they participate in hands on learning in our updated science lab. Our students consistently score significantly above grade level in math and language on national standardized tests.
A strong fine arts program is highlighted by the Gateway to Art curriculum and an annual student musical production. Students from grades 3 through 8 participate in CYO athletic teams including football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, golf, track, and cross country. The vast majority of our students support the life of the parish as altar servers and through meaningful service opportunities. St. Anastasia students love their school and parish community!
The school has an award-winning school board that assist the administration and the Parent Teacher Organization organize community building and school support events throughout the year. Parents play a vital role in the life of the school by supporting in a myriad of ways.
